Hide Sukenari
Relocating from Japan to Chicago in 1996 to attend college Hide became interested in pursuing his love of jazz-based music by combining his desire to learn the fundamental aspects of DJing with his growing record collection. Starting off by doing limited gigs at the now-defunct O-Bar Hide then began a weekly residency at The Funky Buddha Lounge featuring cutting-edge dance music. Continuing his interests as a collector Hide began working at Dusty Groove Records the pre-eminent jazz collectors store and began his study of drum techniques.
